The roast dinner was really nice, you get a preference sheet and you put what you want and they then bring it to the table. It was great value for the money

Very much enjoyed our Sunday lunch.
Very well cooked & presented.
Shame the roast parsnips were too hard to cut or burnt.
Attentive staff, nothing was too much for them.

Nice place went for a carvery, can have all three meats if you want and they don't skimp on portion. In a large group it takes a while for everyone to get their food but food is nice, though the sausage was a little burnt. Doesn't look much from outside but really nice vibe inside and staff are friendly and helpful

Called this place to book a Sunday roast, was told that 4pm was the only time available, which we were happy with.
Asked if it’s all you can eat for veg etc and was told on phone yes.
Arrived and was seated, was given food list on paper and pencil to tick what you wanted and the waitresses would go and get it for you, great idea but 6 out of the 9 orders had stuff missing from them, so asked the waitress (again) instead of sending 6 plates back, could we ask for seconds, was told yes no problem, after last plate was handed to us, they then cleared all the food away, it was mainly cold and the meat was very dry, had clearly been sitting out a long time, when asked about seconds, was told ‘nah don’t think so, think it’s all gone, can have some carrots’ so asked for the manager as was lied too 3 times about second plate, she said it wasn’t the case that you can get seconds. As half our order was missing and instead of complaining we were happy to wait, it’s very disappointing to be lied to like that, and then to top it off, as we were last in there (4.45) all the staff kept poking there heads round kitchen corner to see if we were done, don’t offer bookings at 4 if you want everyone out at 4.45 and have ran out of food at 4.15!

Popped in for a quick drink after the firework display. Incredibly family friendly and extremely reasonably priced. Even my husband who is very quick to complain about how expensive something is commented on how well priced it is after leaving.
Fabulous village pub and well worth a visit.

Five of us had a meal last Sunday and although it is a carvery you had your own individual menu's which you gave to the waitress and were served at the table, so no queueing
The staff were all frienly the food was delicious, nothing was left on our plates.
Excellent value for money. Will go again and thoroughly recommend it.

Had a build your own Calvary. Tempting options, though a little disappointing on arrival and almost cold. The roast meats themselves were rather nice though, as was the nut roast. Staff were really friendly. Good space out the back for kids and dogs

The food was amazing, the beef was so tender, the potatoes were nice and crunchy, all the veg was cooked to perfection, Yorkshire puds and lovely lashings of thick gravy. 👍
